TMX SPORTFIT – STRENGTH & POWER DEVELOPMENT

The TMX SportFit Training System provides a unified approach to athletic development built around movement quality, coordination, and transfer to sport performance. Strength, speed, mobility, and movement skills are trained as connected components of the same system rather than as isolated qualities. Each TMX SportFit program applies the same principles in different environments to ensure athletes develop physical qualities they can express when it matters most.


TMX SportFit – Strength & Power Development (Gym-Based Training)

The TMX SportFit Strength, Power & Speed Program applies the TMX SportFit Training Method to gym-based training. Built around how athletic adaptation actually transfers to sport performance, this approach is grounded in motor learning and motor control principles, emphasizing specificity, transfer, variability, and appropriate overload so training adaptations carry over to competition.


Unlike traditional strength training approaches that rely heavily on bilateral, linear lifting patterns derived from bodybuilding, powerlifting, or weightlifting—with limited relevance to sport performance—TMX SportFit begins by analyzing the movements and postures athletes use in their sport. From there, strength exercises are selected and designed to develop the components of those movements that can be meaningfully improved in the gym.


Athletes train through coordinated, resisted movements that reflect sport-specific positions, force directions, and timing demands. Training integrates a variety of stances, angles, and movement patterns to promote adaptability and motor learning, while emphasizing functional synergy across the feet, hips, spine, and shoulders. Strength is developed without unnecessary spinal compression, supporting long-term development and movement robustness.


Overload is applied through changes in posture, coordination demands, force direction, and movement speed—not simply by adding weight—ensuring strength, power, and speed qualities remain usable and transferable to sport.

Within the TMX SportFit Training System, gym-based training is used to develop force capacity, coordination under load, and tissue robustness that support faster, more efficient movement in sport.

PROGRAM DETAILS

The TMX SportFit Strength & Power Development Program is designed to help athletes become better movers first, so the physical qualities they develop can be expressed under real sport conditions. Training supports usable strength, explosive power, acceleration, and work capacity while reinforcing efficient movement mechanics and reducing unnecessary stress on the body. These physical qualities provide the foundation for deceleration, change of direction, and re-acceleration trained through the TMX SportFit Speed & Movement Skills program.

GETTING STARTED

 The result is an athlete who moves with greater efficiency, adapts more effectively under game conditions, and sustains performance over the course of a season. Training sessions are 75 minutes in length and are offered one-on-one, in small private groups, or in team-based formats. Sessions are by appointment only.
