“ My daughter Emma and I (also known by our gym names of BABS and B) have been going to ‘Tyson’s House of Pain’ since 2014. It is the ‘House of Pain’ in the best way; we certainly know when we have had an effective workout! We first started personal training with Tyson to supplement Emma’s dryland regimen for cross country skiing and biathlon racing. We truly felt part of the TMX family when we started training and competing in our first Cross Fit Open. With expert guidance and the support of our fellow athletes we were amazed at what we could achieve.
Working out at TMX provided us not only with opportunities to push ourselves to achieve fitness goals but helped us with our mental health and resilience. It was wonderful to see the confidence, empowerment and laughter when Emma and her friends did their first kickboxing class!
2016 was a tough year and I credit my physical and mental fitness with helping me cope with my cancer treatments. It was great to get back to the gym afterwards and I felt prepared for 2018 when the cancer came back.
Emma’s current fitness goals are geared towards supporting her recreational sports activities such as Ultimate Frisbee, indoor soccer, and snowboarding. For me, being in my sixties, mine are to keep my body and mind strong for healthy aging.”

I've been going ever since. TMX has become that place I look forward to going to every week. The trainers and class members become close friends. " I started at CrossFit in 2019, for a few years prior to that I'd been working out on my own, but as life got busier and busier I wasn't making time for it and my fitness was suffering. I tried TMX, not really expecting much to be honest (my partner dragged me along) - but having the scheduled commitment really forced me to make it a priority, and having the awesome group of trainers there to keep me accountable and push me really helped me to progress in my fitness (even though I yell at them from time to time).
