Tyson Mount is the Owner and Head Coach of TMX Athletics, where he has spent decades working with youth, teen, and high-level athletes across multiple sports. His work is driven by a long-term effort to understand why many training methods improve capacity in the gym but fail to transfer to sport.
Tyson’s coaching philosophy is built on a movement-based approach to sports performance. Rather than relying on generic workouts or trend-driven methods, he designs training systems around real sport demands, emphasizing movement quality, coordination, force application, and long-term athletic development. His programming reflects both practical coaching experience and a continuous, independent study of sports performance research—interpreted through the realities of coaching athletes in real environments. Where necessary, he has also developed specialized training tools to better support these methods when existing equipment did not align with his approach.
At TMX Athletics, Tyson has created a training environment focused on structure, progression, and accountability. Athletes are assessed through structured group evaluations at appropriate intervals, and training is guided by individual movement needs within a group-based setting. The goal is not to chase numbers or appearances, but to develop athletes who can use what they build when it matters most.
Tyson takes his role as a coach seriously and believes meaningful results come from consistency, intent, and trust in the process. Athletes are expected to bring commitment and effort; Tyson provides the structure, coaching, and system needed for long-term athletic progression.
Experience and Credentials

Hi, I’m Kelly. I’ve been part of the TMX Athletics community for the past seven years, first as a client and now as an independent trainer operating out of TMX.
I’ve been involved in sports from a young age, including ringette, cross-country running, competitive dance, and volleyball. As my children got older, I wanted to become more active again and began training at TMX as a way to recommit to my own health and fitness. What started as a personal fitness journey quickly grew into a passion for strength training, CrossFit, and long-term health.
Through my own training and by participating in nutrition coaching at TMX, I experienced a major shift in both my performance and overall well-being. I learned how impactful proper nutrition can be, and how redefining my relationship with food can support strength, energy, and confidence. That experience inspired me to pursue my Nutritionist Certification and Certified Personal Trainer Certification.
Today, I operate my own coaching practice while training clients at TMX Athletics. My goal is to help people become stronger, healthier, and more confident — and to help them build sustainable habits around both training and nutrition.
TMX Athletics has been an important part of my journey, and I’m grateful to train clients in an environment that values community, accountability, and long-term development.
